Anna Maria Island is seven miles of beach cottages, vacation rentals, and full-time residences spread across three cities — Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach. We run jobs across all three weekly, and the work here has its own rhythm: rental turnovers, hurricane prep and recovery, and tight-access cottage cleanouts. Here's what to know.
Three cities, one island, one route
- Anna Maria — the quietest north end, mostly older single-family cottages and a smaller number of rentals.
- Holmes Beach — the central residential hub, mix of full-time homes and managed rentals.
- Bradenton Beach — high-density rental zone, lots of weekly turnover work.
We service all three cities the same day, often on the same route. Cortez Bridge and the Anna Maria Island Bridge both accommodate our truck and trailer without issue, so multi-load days are no problem.
What we haul on AMI
The volume here skews toward two job types:
Vacation rental turnovers — owners and property managers replacing sun-bleached lanai sets, broken beach gear, busted grills, and worn-out mattresses between guests. Most of these are 1/4- to 1/2-truck jobs at $199–$349.
Hurricane prep and recovery — before a storm, we clear loose patio furniture, old grills, and outdoor items that could become projectiles. After a storm, we haul out water-damaged furniture, drywall, soaked mattresses, and ruined appliances. For post-storm full-home clears, our property cleanout service handles multi-load same-day work.
Other regular jobs:
- Cottage downsizes and estate cleanouts
- Snowbird spring sweeps
- Construction debris from porch rebuilds and hurricane repairs
- Appliances — including refrigerators and freezers (small EPA refrigerant adder)
- Old beach gear, kayaks, paddleboards
Tight-access cottage handling
Many AMI cottages have crushed-shell driveways, low carports, narrow alleys, and stilted second-story access. Our 12-foot dump trailer behind a Tundra threads access points where larger national-brand box trucks won't fit. We're used to:
- Backing into Gulf-side cottage driveways under 10 feet wide
- Two-person carrying loads down stilt-house stairs
- Working around tenant cars and tight cul-de-sac turns
Pricing on Anna Maria Island
No island surcharge — same volume-based flat rates as the mainland:
- Single item: $129
- 1/4 truck: $199
- 1/2 truck: $349
- 3/4 truck: $525
- Full truck: $625
Full breakdown on the pricing page. Heavy debris (concrete from a pool deck redo, water-damaged tile) is flat $475 in Manatee County, which covers AMI.
Same-day turnover slots
Friday through Monday is peak rental-turnover season on AMI year-round. We hold dedicated slots for property managers — text 2–3 photos and the address to (941) 302-8933 by noon and we can run a load that afternoon. For ongoing management relationships we'll set a recurring weekly window.
Donation-first sorting
Clean rental furniture in good shape gets routed to Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Bradenton and Salvation Army. Metal pulls go to recycling. Anything truly worn out goes to Lena Road Landfill on the mainland.
How to book
- Text photos and the address to (941) 302-8933.
- We reply with a firm flat rate.
- Pick a window — same-day available most weekdays.
